Saturday

From a morning pickup in your local area we travel by coach to our hotel, arriving in time for dinner and a relaxing overnight stay.

Sunday

After breakfast, we head to the Imperial War Museum Duxford, arriving in plenty of time to take a step back in time and immerse ourselves in Duxford’s heritage. Not only serving as the home of the No.19 Squadron, Duxford also has the honour of having the first Spitfires flown in operation serve at the base. We also have time to explore the hangars and learn the stories of the people who lived and worked on this crucial airbase before the Air Show commences in the early afternoon. Marvel at aerial acrobatics, dogfights and a mass Spitfire flypast before we depart for home in the late afternoon.

In a wonderful homage to the fliers of the day, the air show brings to life Duxford’s finest hour as an important Second World War fighter station, where dozens of lovingly restored and maintained historic aircraft take to the skies in a spectacular homage to the fliers of the day. Capturing the vibrancy and energy of the period, this event not only brings together historic aircrafts but celebrates the music, entertainment, history and importance of that time. Complete with live air shows and a chance to get up close to some of the planes, this is an experience you’ll want to get onboard with!
