The Specialist Leisure Group Entered Administration on 22 May 2020

Update following Friday’s (22 May 2020) sad announcement that the Specialist Leisure Group (SLG) has gone into Administration.

Coachholidays.com is a family run independent travel agent and has nothing to do with SLG. We are still trading and are not affected by SLG’s administration. Coachholidays.com is an agent for Shearings Holidays, National Holidays and Caledonian Travel and client agreements are with the tour operator.

Update - 30 July 2020

An announcement from the Claim Providers at Bonded Coach Holidays regarding Shearings claims:

“…we have received all claims and we are in the process of reviewing them.

Before we proceed we have to verify all claims against the booking system that was used at the time your trip was booked. Unfortunately obtaining this information and verifying claims against it is proving to be more time consuming than first envisioned meaning that your claim is taking longer to process.

Please bear with us while we make these checks and know that your claim is in safe hands. We appreciate your patience."

HOW TO CLAIM A REFUND

Coachholidays.com clients need to make a claim by following the information below.

Shearings Holidays Limited

Non-flight packages
If you booked a non-flight package holiday (e.g. coach holiday including accommodation and show tickets) with Shearings Holidays Limited, these are protected by the CPT Bonded Coach Holidays Scheme.
You can make a claim online by visiting www.submitaclaim.co.uk/shearings or contact the Bonded Coach Holidays Scheme on 01702 840295.

Package holidays with flights included
If your booking included flights, then you will need to contact the CAA as your booking is protected by the CAA ATOL scheme. Further information and advice on how to claim is available on the ATOL website. CLICK HERE FOR CLAIM FORM [PDF]
Your ATOL Certificate will say 'Package Sale' in the bottom right-hand corner.

National Holidays Limited

Non-flight packages
If you booked a package holiday with National Holidays Limited which included travel by coach, then your booking is protected by the CPT Bonded Coach Holidays Scheme and you will need to submit a claim.

Caledonian Travel

If you booked a package holiday with Caledonian Travel which included travel by coach, then your booking is protected by the CPT Bonded Coach Holidays Scheme and you will need to submit a claim.

We have been made aware of some confusion for customers who booked via their travel agent (coachholidays.com). There is a note on the online claim form wrongly suggesting customers should request a chargeback through their card provider. We can confirm that this is incorrect and that customers of coachholidays.com should complete the online form available, irrespective of the wording that currently appears on the online form.

We have also been made aware that when completing the online claim form you may be asked to provide, 'Written evidence to show that you have approached your card provider/bank and they have been unable to process your request under section 75 (Credit card) or chargeback dispute (Debit Card).
In this section please click ‘YES’ and enter the following in the text box: 'This does not apply to me, I have not requested a chargeback from my bank/card provider, because my booking was made via a 3rd party travel agent'

CREDIT & DEBIT CARD CHARGEBACKS UNDER SECTION 75

Please do not go down the route of requesting a chargeback on your credit or debit card if you have booked a holiday through coachholidays.com with an SLG company (i.e. Shearings, National, Caledonian, etc.), as this is only for clients that booked direct with an SLG company.
Your credit / debit card provider may authorise a chargeback, but this will end up being reversed and will delay you getting your money back.
Please follow the guidance above.

If you have requested a chargeback from your credit or debit card provider, please cancel the request and complete the online form.
