A History of Shearings
The origins of Shearings can be traced back to 1901, when Smiths Happiways was formed. 18 years later Shearings was founded in Oldham by William Shearing and these two companies would eventually be merged in 1987 into Smiths Shearings. Throughout this time a lot of other companies have come, gone and even become part of Shearings, even as recent as 2005 when Wallace Arnold merged with Shearings Group.
Assurance from Shearings
In these uncertain times, it's more important than ever to travel with a company you know and trust. Book with Shearings and you can rest assured that your holiday will be protected by their membership of ABTA (Association of British Travel Agents), and also by their licence with ATOL (Air Travel Organisers' Licensing) if you're travelling by air.
They also belong to several other trade organisations, including the FTO (Federation of Tour Operators), CPT (Confederation of Passenger Transport UK), PSA (Passenger Shipping Association) and CLIA (Cruise Lines International Association).
