Erasmus Bridge Built in 1996 this cable-stayed bridge spans across the New Meuse river. The futuristic, asymmetric and innovative design is over 800 metres long and also has a bascule bridge for bigger ships to pass through. Witte Huis (White House) This 1898 building once used to be the tallest building in Europe with around 43 metres in height. It is a national monument and offers beautiful architecture. It was one of the few buildings to survive the Rotterdam Blitz.

Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen

The futuristic building houses the main art museum of Rotterdam established in 1841. The permanent exhibition displays works by the likes of Monet, Dali, Rembrandt or Kandinsky.

Netherlands Architecture Institute

Destroyed by the Blitz, Rotterdam needed to be rebuilt completely. Therefore it became home to this institute which today displays the largest architectonical collection and museums and exhibition galleries.
