About cookies and how we use them
Here you can find out more about how we use them.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small files placed on your computer's hard drive or in your browser memory when you visit a website.
What do cookies do?
Cookies help to make the interaction between users and websites faster and easier. For example, they can remember your county of departure. What cookies don't do is store any personal or confidential information about you.
Are cookies safe?
Yes, cookies are small text files. They can't look into your computer or read any personal information or other material on your hard drive. Cookies can't carry viruses or install anything harmful on your computer.
Why should I keep cookies turned on?
We would like you to keep cookies active on your computer during your visits to our website because parts of the site rely on them to work properly. For example, you may not be able to search for holidays if cookies are turned off.
Turning cookies on or off in your browser
You have a number of options when it comes to receiving cookies. You can set your browser either to reject all cookies, to allow only ‘trusted’ sites to send them, or to accept only those cookies from websites you are currently using.
We recommend that you don’t block all cookies because parts of our website rely on them to work properly.
To find out how to turn cookies on and off in your browser, click on your browser’s logo below.
Alternatively we recommend you take a look at the guides at AboutCookies.org

3rd Party cookies
To help our customers we sometimes embed photos and video content from websites such as flickr and YouTube. Pages with this embedded content may present cookies from these websites. Similarly, when you use one of the share buttons on Coachholidays.com, a cookie may be set by the service you have chosen to share content through. Coachholidays.com does not control the distribution of these cookies and it's your responsibility to block these cookies from those websites. You should check the relevant third party website for more information about these.
We use a number of social media tools to enhance visitor interaction on our site. If you already use these platforms their cookies may be set through our website. Data may then be collected by these companies that enables them to serve up adverts on other sites that they think are relevent to your interests. If you do not use such platforms then our site will not place these cookies on your device.

These cookies allow us to count page visits and traffic sources so we can measure and improve the performance of our site, using a service provided by Google Analytics.
A persistent cookie - remains on a computer, unless it expires or the cookie cache is cleared. This cookie keeps track of the number of times you have been to the site, when your first visit was, and when their last visit occurred
__utmb Cookie & __utmc Cookies
These cookies work in tandem to calculate visit length. Google __utmb cookie demarks the exact arrival time, then Google __utmc registers the precise exit time.
__utmb is a session cookie, and expires at the end of the session, e.g. when you leave the page. A timestamp of 30 minutes must pass before Google cookie __utmc expires. This is because __utmc cannot tell if a browser or website session ends. Therefore, if no new page view is recorded in 30 minutes the cookie is expired.
